CyberTemp
CLI

CyberTemp CLI

A no-install command line for disposable inboxes. Built for QA scripts, CI pipelines, OTP automation, and one-off testing from the terminal.

1
Log in

Opens your browser.

bash
npx cybertemp login
2
Create an inbox

Prints the address.

bash
ADDR=$(npx cybertemp new)
3
Wait for an OTP

Core plan and above.

bash
OTP=$(npx cybertemp wait-otp "$ADDR")
Authentication
Device authorization, GitHub-style. No copy-pasting keys.

npx cybertemp login opens your default browser. You approve the device, and the CLI gets a scoped token written to ~/.config/cybertemp/config.json (mode 600).

Tokens are per-device and revocable from Settings → CLI sessions. Run npx cybertemp logout to revoke locally and on the server.

On a machine without a browser, run npx cybertemp login --no-browser and open the printed link on any device.

In CI, skip login and set CYBERTEMP_API_KEY to an API key from your settings. It takes precedence over a saved login.

No anonymous use. The CLI requires login — there's no demo mode.

Commands
The complete CLI surface.
npx cybertemp login [--no-browser]Approve this device in your browser. The token is saved to ~/.config/cybertemp/config.json.
npx cybertemp logoutRevoke the current device's token and delete the local config.
npx cybertemp whoamiShow the logged-in account, plan, and current usage.
npx cybertemp new [--domain <domain>] [--username <name>]Create a new inbox. Prints the email address to stdout.
npx cybertemp listList your active inboxes.
npx cybertemp wait <address> [--timeout <s>]Block until a message arrives in the inbox, then print it.
npx cybertemp wait-otp <address> [--timeout <s>]Wait for an OTP (Core+). Prints just the code to stdout — handy in scripts.
npx cybertemp messages <address> [--limit <n>]List messages in an inbox.
npx cybertemp delete <address>Delete an inbox.
npx cybertemp domainsList the domains you can create inboxes on.
On the free plan
The CLI works on the Free plan too. It acts as your account, so your plan's API limits apply.

Each command that calls the API counts toward your plan's per-second rate limit, and each inbox it opens counts toward your concurrent-inbox cap. Paid plans raise both — see the pricing page.

When you hit a tier limit, the CLI prints:

✗ Inbox limit reached (5/5 on the Free plan).
  Delete one with: cybertemp delete <address>
  Or upgrade at https://cybertemp.xyz/pricing?ref=cli_quota
Scripting
Results go to stdout. Progress, hints and errors go to stderr.

Every command accepts --json for machine-readable JSON output.

bash
ADDR=$(npx cybertemp new)
# …submit a sign-up form with "$ADDR"…
OTP=$(npx cybertemp wait-otp "$ADDR" --timeout 120)
case $? in
  0) echo "code: $OTP" ;;
  3) echo "no code in time" ;;
  *) exit 1 ;;
esac

Exit codes

0Success
1Error: API, network, sign-in or plan limit
2Usage error: unknown command or flag, or a missing argument
3Timed out (wait, wait-otp)
Need higher limits?
Paid plans raise the per-second rate limit and how many inboxes you can keep at once.
